Tips for biking in autumn
The days are colder and shorter. You should bear this in mind when planning your tours. Plan shorter tours and check the snow conditions. Our trail map will help you.
Autumn is wet and so are the trails. Pack dry clothes that you can change when the opportunity arises.
The onion principle keeps you warm even on cooler autumn days. Add to this a pair of long bike shorts that protect your legs from wetness and mud. In autumn, the cold wind can quickly become tiring. Therefore, you should protect your head and ears from the cold at this time of year. You should also cover your neck and face with a neck tube or multifunctional scarf so that your face does not get cold.
Your bike is exposed to the cold, mud, and dirt in autumn. That's why your MTB needs extra care. In the holiday region, you have the possibility to clean the dirt off your bike at various washing stations. Don't forget to lubricate the chain afterwards. Our bike shops give your bike a well-deserved wellness treatment.
